* '''Tech Investment''': Each economic point invested throughout the year increases the opportunity for a Tech Year Advancement at the end of the 12-month period. As the required investment equals 50% of the final month's Total Domestic Product (TDP) (income, expenses, but not counting the Previous Pool Point), each economic point invested increases the chance of a Tech Year Advancement. If the required investment is met, the Tech Year Advancement automatically occurs. Anything less results is a reduced chance of the advancement; anything over allows for a (reduced) chance of a second advancement that same year. | * '''Tech Investment''': Each economic point invested throughout the year increases the opportunity for a Tech Year Advancement at the end of the 12-month period. This list comprises the available investments for SFC.
Investments
- Productivity: A planet's Productivity increase requires an investment in capital. Productivity points may only be purchased at a cost equal to ten times the new planetary Productivity value. So, if Epsilon Eridani has a Productivity of 1, it would cost 20 economic points to raise it to 2. Each planet may only increase Productivity at rate of one per year. The changes will take affect following the 12th month.
- Note: I've changed the rate of production change to once per year, from once per turn, as to represent the time necessary to create the new necessary infrastructure.
- Tech Investment: Each economic point invested throughout the year increases the opportunity for a Tech Year Advancement at the end of the 12-month period.
- Note: mathematically, if 1/18th of each current month's TDP is invested, then at the end of the year there is roughly a 3% chance of a second advancement (compute the actual overpayment tech investments), though failure to achieve it results in the points being lost. If 1/19th is invested, instead, then there is almost a 98% chance of making the Tech Year Advancement and the (remote chance) failure allows those same points to be added to the next year, allowing for a reasonable possibility of a two-year advancement the next year.
Actions
Certain events that are ordered cost RP to conduct, such as establishing a colony mission.
Assets
Purchasing new ships, facilities, etc.
VBAM-to-SFC ConversionsThe starting homeworlds in VBAM have 60 EPs, while the equivalent minor homeworlds in SFC have 200, providing a conversion of 3.33 EP in SFC for every 1 VBAM EP. Round down in singlular cases to 3, while multiples should be rounded out. SFC EP Costs
