India was the source and (literally) breeding ground of the Augments and a great deal of the devastation wrought in the concluding months of the Eugenics Wars was visited within that country. However, where many of the other countries acquired great technologies that came from the Augments' investments, and the resources that some of those technologies unveiled, India was barely ever to compete (though it was technically a member of the space-faring nations). It would barely hold its own until 2031, when it became a founding member of the Eastern Coalition, finally losing its nation status in 2055.
