Lucilla Ricks

Lucilla Ricks was the commander of UNSS Icarus for the vessel's sole mission to the Alpha Centauri system, from 2046 until the 2085 return. She made peaceful first contact (unknowingly, Earth's second "first" contact with an alien species) in 2065 with the Centaurians and left for Earth the next year.

Ricks volunteered to greet the UNSS Hector at Arcturus in 2104, returning with a majority of that ship's crew a few weeks later.
