Historical Events
- Start: USS Equinox (NCC-72381, Nova class) is destroyed in the Delta quadrant during battle with USS Voyager (NCC-74656, Intrepid class).
- When the UFP-Klingon-Romulan coalition first encounters the effect of the Breen Energy Drain Weapon, only Klingon ships can make the immediate and necessary changes to the plasma mixture that results in a warp field resistant to the weapon.[2]
- After a few weeks, and a captured example from which to work, Star Fleet and Romulan ships are modified to resist the Breen Energy Drain Weapon.[2]
- Two Iconian gateways open up in the vicinity of Carrea and Delta IV, both leading to an uninhabited resource-rich world that both worlds desire.[3]
- An Iconian gateway opens on Maeglin, depositing six Yewqapoiueqrpoui on the planet before closing.[4]
- The People’s Republic of Coridan signs a trade deal with Bajor.[5]
- Early: Star Fleet investigates an uncovered device, alien to the Evora, which apparently prevents debilitating seismic quakes.[8]
- September 29: The United Federation of Planets extends membership to Bajor.[10]
New Technology
- Cardassian speed 'limit' of Warp 9.7
- Klingon speed 'limit' of Warp 9.8
- Federation speed 'limit' of Warp 9.82
