==Appearance==
Due to their shared ancestry, Vulcans and Romulans possess very similar physiology. In addition, much like being an offshoot from their Vulcan cousins themselves, a race known as the [[Debrune]] were an ancient offshoot of the Romulans.

Romulans have pointed ears, eyebrows that are arched and up-swept, varied skin color, and copper-based blood that appears green when oxygenated in the arteries, or copper or rust-colored when deoxygenated in the veins.

Some Romulans have two brow ridges above the bridge of their nose, forming a V-shape on the forehead, while other Romulans lack these ridges, making them outwardly indistinguishable from Vulcans. Ridges are a trait associated with Northerners.

The Romulan heart is gray in color.
