They anchor most Cardassian space formations. Cardassian resource problems have limited the military to fielding only one Battleship class, the [[Kagor class|&#039;&#039;Kagor&#039;&#039;]], and most &#039;&#039;Kagors&#039;&#039; were destroyed or heavily damaged during the Dominion War.&lt;br&gt;<br /> Shortly before the War began, the Starship Engineering Division of the Central Command proposed the creation of a second Battleship class, the [[Gul’at class|&#039;&#039;Gul&#039;at&#039;&#039;]]. During the War the Division’s engineers refined their designs to include certain types of Dominion technology, but the fighting derailed the final development of the ship.
