Names
* Mu Capricorni

Planetary Bodies
* ?
* Zaran II (orbit #): M - Terrestrial
* ?

History
* 2075: The Zaranites make First Contact (unofficially) with a Human colony expedition made up of (at least partially) Augments, who attempt to enslave them but are defeated.

* 2257: The Federation makes its first official contact with the Zaranites, who petition for (and receive) Protectorate status.

* 2268: The United Federation of Planets extends membership to Zaran II.

Important Locations
* list known locations that have game implications (ex: defense bases, depots, etc.); otherwise, "None"

Notes
* This is the homesystem of the Zaranites.

* The source novel has the Augments enslave the Zaranites, until freed with the assistance of Kirk and Spock in 2274. That seems improbably with the understanding of modern Trek Augments, so instead SFC-canon has this as the Zaronites' first encounter with Humanity.
