• Despite the locality to Antares II, Antares VII itself does not belong to the Federation. However, since it is known for its agricultural products (particularly the brandy), and since it is not a colony of the Antarans or the Antareans, SFC-canon that it is colonized by another non-Federation species, possibly from coreward.

• The multitude of sources all handle the systems and planets in different ways, so the above structure is what SFC-canon uses. "Antares" will generally refer to the binary star system, with individual systems named with their numerals. A planet identified as "Antares x" (ex: Antares IV), will default to the Alpha Antares system for the first four planets and the Beta Antares for the final 5 planets.
