By 3071 large scale production of the Heavy PPC was in full swing, where House Kurita could find the factories to manufacture it. Truth was DC military production had taken a pounding from WoB forces using everything at there disposal. Meanwhile at the lone Quikcell facility in Combine space engineers found themselves with a host of Scorpion tank hulls but no weapons to outfit them with thanks to the disruption in trade caused by WoB activities. While casting about for some suitable weapons for there Scorpion assembly line they managed some hasty, some say shady deal making and found themselves in possession of a hundred or so of the Combine's new Heavy PPCs. After a little more deal making they also managed to secure a similar number of fusion engines. Immediately after securing the weapons and engines QC engineers began development work on a Scorpion chassis based vehicle to marry the engine and weapon into a useful machine. The rest, as they say is history.

The Jadgpanzer Mk. XXX (30) named for an ancient tank destroyer concept is much like it's namesake, a rather hastily designed stopgap measure perfectly in keeping with Quikcell's reputation. But the combination of small chassis, a cheap, relatively speaking, fusion engine, and a hard hitting energy weapon proved useful, at an affordable price when everyone was screaming for every weapon they could get there hands on. The DCMS was loathe to divert more Heavy PPC production to Quikcell for the Jadgpanzer but they bought up everyone that could be made, and QuikCell never did seem to run out of Heavy PPCs.

Tactically speaking the Jadgpanzer is an ambush vehicle, and requires numbers, usually at least a platoon, and flank support to maximize its chances of making a kill or two before they must beat a hasty retreat to there next hiding place. Usually however they become a smoking wreck.

Shortly after the what is now known as the MkXXXA debuted Quikcell began looking for alternative weapons for the Jadgpanzer, two models began rolling off the production line, they were profitable, if not necessarily useful enough for Quikcell to begin producing them at their other facilities.
