Enolian Social Republic
The Enolian Social Republic is a pro-Federation, democratic multi-world state located at the junction of the Barolian, Regulan, and Korvat subspace highways. Established during the Enolian Revolution of April 2267 under the leadership of First Minister Aten Xaltoeo, the Republic served as the primary catalyst for the Four Days War after its forces "liberated" the planet Canamar and seized a stockpile of Klingon Kash-Ro missiles.
Following the forced imposition of the Treaty of Organia in June 2267, the Republic—centered on its capital of Keto-Enol—was incorporated into the Organian Neutral Zone, saving it from imminent destruction by Klingon shock troops but cementing the "two Enolias" problem. Throughout the ensuing twenty-five-year cold war, the Republic remained a critical but precarious buffer state, characterized by persistent diplomatic tension with the Klingon-held Vico-Enolia.
History
- April–May 2267 (The Enolian Revolution):
- April 18: Evidence of Klingon bribery sparks mass protests on Keto-Enol; security forces refuse to disperse the "mob" and join the revolt.
- April 20: Premier Unalawo commits suicide in his office after realizing his security forces will no longer protect him; the "soldier's revolt" engulfs Keto-Enol and spreads onto Vico-Enolian territory.
- May 24: General Aten Xaltoeo is appointed First Minister of the pro-Federation Enolian Social Republic.
- May 28: Republican forces "liberate" Canamar, capturing significant Klingon military stockpiles and ten Kash-Ro missiles.[1]
- June 16: The Klingon 22nd Fleet engages the Enolian Stellar Guard over Canamar, effectively beginning the Four Days War.[1]
- June 21: Klingon marines launch planetary landings on the five Enolian worlds, leading to fierce urban combat and the use of therazine gas to pacify resistance.
- June 24: With the Treaty of Organia thrust upon the primary combatants and their Enolian proxies, Enolian territory is divided, with only Keto-Enol not ensconced within the Klingon Empire's borders (Kobax—though officially neutral—is solidly located within the borders of the Federation and remains an independent state).
