United Earth
United Earth (formal name: United Nations of the Planet Earth) is the name of the planetary state created through the unification of Earth in the 22nd century following First Contact in 2063. United Earth was the state under whose jurisdiction fell Human colonies on Luna, Mars, Vega Colony (as well as others), and later continued to exist as a political subdivision of the United Federation of Planets when its government helped found that interstellar state in 2161.
The term "United Earth" would first be used following First Contact in 2063, especially by the forces of the New United Nations. However, the actual establishment of the government of United Earth would take place in 2130, with the signing of the Traité d'Unification.[1] Signed in Paris at the Place de la Concorde, this historic document served as United Earth's charter.
In 2150, the last holdouts from the treaty—including China, the United States of America, and lastly Australia—signed on, solidifying that state's authority over the entirety of the planet.[2]
