Inspector General
The Inspector General of Star Fleet leads an organization charged with examining the actions of Star Fleet as a general auditor of its operations to ensure it is operating in compliance with established policies of the Federation, to audit the effectiveness of security procedures, or to discover the possibility of misconduct, waste, fraud, theft, or certain types of criminal activity by individuals or groups related to the department's operation, usually involving some misuse of the organization's funds or credit. Prior to 2354, the Inspector General is a Rear Admiral, while after 2353, the position usually calls for a Rear Admiral (Lower Half), though a long-serving officer may be promoted to Rear Admiral (Upper Half).
The Inspector General is a PC and is in charge of ensuring all other PCs are conducting the business of their appointments.
